Questions, answered
Do I need a Chrome extension?
No. Activitic runs entirely on our own infrastructure. There's nothing to install and nothing to keep running in your browser — so there's no extension to break or get removed.
Do you need my LinkedIn password?
Never. You give us a public profile URL and that's it. We don't ask for your login, we don't read your session, and your account is never involved in the data collection.
What about impressions and reach?
Per-post impressions, profile views and audience demographics are private — LinkedIn only shows them to the profile's owner, so no third-party tool can read them for profiles you don't own. We're upfront about this and focus on the public metrics that compound over time: engagement, reactions by type, formats, cadence and follower growth. Engagement rate is measured over followers, and we always say so.
Can I track other people's profiles?
Yes — any public LinkedIn profile, including competitors and creators you admire. Because we don't rely on your browser session, we're not limited to profiles you own.
Will this get my LinkedIn account banned?
